Critical Mass Polka Ride|

In keeping with the annual tradition, a roughly 10-mile "Polka Ride" Critical Mass bike route is proposed from Daly Plaza, 50 West Washington, to the Independence Tap, 3932 West Irving Park in the Old Irving Park neighborhood, to see the high-energy polka trio The Polkaholics. The power-pop trio The Cloud Corporation opens the show. The ride assembles after 5:30 PM at the plaza, departing a little after 6 PM.

March Tune Up Class|

Our two-part bicycle Tune Up Class will be taught by Katie, an experienced Recyclery crew mechanic. This class will introduce you to basic bicycle maintenance. We’ll cover tool and component terminology, fixing a flat, chain maintenance, brake pad replacement, and basic shifting adjustments.
This class will be held on the Sunday evenings of March 3rd & 10th, 6-9PM. Cost for the 2 session course is $75.

Mayor’s Bicycle Advisory Council
The Mayor’s Bicycle Advisory Council (MBAC) includes members representing a broad spectrum of backgrounds, from health care and enforcement and community groups. Several City departments are also represented.
MBAC focuses on a wide range of bicycle issues: safety, education, enforcement, and infrastructure investment. The Council will help identify issues, discuss ideas and set priorities for bicycle planning in Chicago.
