"Don't Fear The Reaper"
In progress development of remake of "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult (1976).  v

Awaiting vocals, so it's Karaoke for now.

REASONS:
1. Apocaloptimistic. (maybe)
2. Originally sung by a male, so female remake is good contrast.
3. Originally done on rock instruments, so an electronic remake is good contrast.
4. Generally trance-y, one of my favorite genres.
5. Beautiful harmonies.
6. Great jam break in the middle.
7. Song's been covered by other biggies.
8. Cowbell.

"(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult (1976) - Lyrics

All the times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain...
we can be like they are
Come on baby...
  don't fear the reaper
Baby take my hand...
  don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly...
  don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man...

Laaa, la, laaa, laaa, la
Laaa, la, laaa, laaa, la

Valentine is done
Here but now they're gone
Romeo and Juliet
Are together in eternity...
  Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday...*
  Like Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday...
  Really find happiness
Another 40,000 coming everyday...
We can be like they are
Come on baby...
  don't fear the reaper
Baby take my hand...
  don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly...
  don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man...

Laaa, la, laaa, laaa, la
Laaa, la, laaa, laaa, la

[break]

Love of two is one
Here but now they're gone
Came the last night of sadness
And it was clear she couldn't go on
Then the door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew then disappeared
The curtains flew and then he appeared...
  saying don't be afraid
Come on baby...
  and she had no fear
And she ran to him...
  then they started to fly
They looked backward and said goodbye...
she had become like they are
She had taken his hand...
she had become like they are
Come on baby...
  don't fear the reaper

* Suggested update for much larger current figures (>150K die & >212K born daily):
Hundreds of thousands of men and women everyday...
   Like Romeo and Juliet
Hundreds of thousands of men and women everyday...
   Really find happiness
More hundreds of thousands coming everyday...
We can be like they are
