2013 Bike Winter Sticker Poll|
Thank you for helping the Bike Winter effort select the best possible design for Chicago's most collectible advocacy tool, the annual Bike Winter Sticker.
If this voting process is your first taste of Bike Winter, please spend some time at the BikeWinter.org website and see what we're about. Join our listserve to stay apprised of our frequent events, educational and social happenings, and connect with other year-round cyclists.
BEFORE VOTING review the following considerations which the Bike Winterites submitting the following proposals were asked to follow in the design process; then review each image, and vote for the sticker proposal(s) which in your opinion, according to the criteria outlined below, best supports the Bike Winter mission in the 2013 Winter Cycling Season.
1)These stickers eat up a sizable chunk of our hard-earned funds, and their main purpose is to be seen and read easily so that they can fulfill their function as advocacy tools- thus:
a) Proposed designs need to clearly, prominently, and legibly, at a glance, even in low light conditions, say "Bike Winter 2013".
b) Need to clearly, prominently, and legibly, at a glance, even in low light conditions, say bikewinter.org.
2) Size is 1.5"X 4.25". Can be oriented horizontally or vertically-- see the 1999-2012 sticker gallery at http://bikewinter.org/stickergallery for examples.
3) Should not violate copyrights or contain elements used without permission.
4) In keeping with tradition stickers may feature a 'new' mascot and a slogan that ideally would be a corny play on words, but this is not a requirement.
5) In keeping with tradition designs/themes should not resemble past years' stickers but present a new look for the coming season.
Now on to the candidates! Browse the entries below and pick your favorite(s).
Please take your time and consider each candidate in the context of the desired characteristics described above.
