Automatic GPS uses the geo-location feature of smartphones such as the iPhone.
Your browser may prompt you to confirm it's OK to use the GPS when first accessed.
It will find and plot your Lat/Lon, and lookup a good address, then periodically update as you move. The top right corner shows your heading and speed.
Login first to post/broadcast/record your travel. If you're logged in (through Facebook) it will periodically post your location as long as your phone is showing the recorder.
Use a handlebar mount and long lock time for live detailed recording, or just turn it on occassionally to post.
TURN *ON* WI-FI! Though it would be a power-saver, GPS accuracy is RADICALLY better with WI-FI on. On iOS devices set Wi-Fi on, but Ask to Join Networks OFF (or it constantly prompts while riding).
POWER SAVING: Turn off bluetooth, stop email, silence sound, dim the screen, and close background programs.
