New York and L.A. are secretly envious.
The Chicago Latino Film Festival is starting, and it's final weekend for the Asian American Film Showcase and the Chicago Comedy Improv fest. Twin Dragons, Go, Never Been Kissed, and Acne open this week and Brew&View has good films. Great bands as usual including Today Is My Super Space Out Day, Eve 6, The Offspring, Better Than Ezra and Digital Underground. Under the heading "You can take Chicago out of the 80s, but...": George Clinton, Missing Persons, Steve Miller Band, The Residents, a Beatles Tribute and The Rolling something-or-others. The Bulls play here twice and the Cubs have their home opener. Also, Golden and Gorgeous Gloves boxing, a top Orchid Show, new Cartoons and Hubbard Street Dance, but best of all TAXES --URK-- I mean BROCKOUT!
