Chicago Is My Muse
Chicago Is My Muse
In wide-eyed wonderment I marvel at it's awesome grandeur and accomplishments, and am filled with inspiration and aspiration. Like an emergent greater whole, it is a mammoth living creature in it's own right. Beyond, yet composed of the thoughts and actions of it's teaming twisted millions. Absolutely every place is modeling mild malevolence this weekend. Take your pick from the really interesting scenes listed below. I hope to hit the Haunted Elevated Train Ride and Daley Plaza Village before meeting Skate Patrol on Saturday. Later maybe the Waveland Clock Tower, and some of the GothicChicago Funeral Party. Berlin or Thurstons would be my fave clubbing, but I can't go. Sunday I'll see another Redmoon show and the 10th Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror. There's some special movies, including Bram Stoker's Dracula at IMax, Nosferatu at MusicBox, Monster Movie Marathon on AMC, and The Relic at the Field. Lady Miss Kier and Supa DJ Dmitry (both of Deee-Lite) spin at different clubs Friday, and Sunday's a big Prince night. Non-spooky-wise Critical Mass is Friday, the surgical museum opens a new auto-incision exhibit, Daylight Savings Time ends, there's All Saints Day and All Souls Day, a geekfest in Rosemont, the Chicago Humanities Fest begins, SouthPark parodies Pokemon and there's a boxing match between financial traders for charity. Tuneage by Godsmack, Jim Rose Circus, Reveille, Manowar, Tone Loc, Bumpus, Shootyz Groove, Gwar, Misfits, Thrill Kill Kult, Maintenance of Order, Ricky Martin, Yngwie Malmsteen, Creatures, etc.
