TELL EVERYONE ABOUT Bedno.com
Then call your mom to say "I love you, thanks for watching my back all those years". Undeniably this week's prominent feature is mothers day (here come the letters from anti-reproduction activists). Standout events include the simultaneous observance of Fight Against Guns Day and its national Million Mom March. In-towners with good maternal relations may start that day with fine dining. Some may join the Y-ME Race Against Breast Cancer or the Mothers day Wildflower Walk in North Park or Mothers day amulet making family workshop at the MCA. Later, new Futurama, King-O-Hill, and Simpsons episodes take angles on the subject, while Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind does a special edition. Also prominent this week is the world class Art Chicago show opening at the Pier in conjunction with this year's crop of massive outdoor sculptures there. Our fair city is becoming renowned for shows such as this. Even beyond those it's a pretty dreamy week for my kind of Freak. The John Travolta sci-fi Battlefield Earth opens, as well as Time Code, and on TV the Miss Universe Pageant, Robot Wars, and the 90210 Final Episode! It's National Inline Skating Week, so there's blading events almost every day. Could things get any cooler? Yes: Patti Smith, Bobby McFerrin with the CSO, The Temptations AND The Supremes. Yes Yes: Urb vs. ThousandWords DJs at Eden, two raves and a dozen good dance nights. YES YES YES: BrockOut on a Full Moon, the Windy City Hemp Fest and Police Memorial Day! Remember: Bedno.com Bedno.com Bedno.com
