BASIC INSTRUCTIONS TO Z-TOUCH OWNERS
For use of Bedno.com city guide microPDA version
on the Z-Touch key-chain sized personal organizer.

The M button is for Main Mode Menu.
Press it to scroll through program icons, then touch
the desired icon. Bedno.com uses the PHONE and
CALENDAR programs. The others are games, clock and
calculator.

The T button is for TIME and power.
Once for screen saver, again for time, again for off.
To disable/enable sounds, quickly and simultaneously TAP
the T button and an arrow button (up=off/down=on) while
the clock is on display.

The P button goes straight to phonebook.
When viewing a phonebook record, tapping the name swaps
between showing phone number and address, and
tapping the number/address scrolls left/right.

The C button is for communicate.
Despite being the biggest and easiest to press it is
the least used. Press it to start upload from PC. If
pressed unintentionally just wait 30 seconds for it to
timeout with an "ID ERR". Two other possible
communications errors are SUMERR which means the device
was jiggled or there was too much light during upload.
FULL is obvious, delete some past events or phone
numbers.  You should attach some type of adhesive hook
to the top right corner of your monitor if uploading
regularly, though tape could do for occasional use.

Up/Down arrows scroll through phone numbers or
scheduled events. When editing a field they move the
cursor left and right.

ALSO NOTE the important on-screen buttons: MENU,
KEYBOARD MODE, and SOUND.  Use MENU to add/edit/delete
records. KEYBOARD MODE switches alpha/numeric.
YES/NO prompts are acknowledged by touching the word
on the screen, not the keyboard.  An additional ENTER
button appears on-screen when editing.

Setting the clock and alarm are hidden functions.
Hold the stylus on either time for several seconds
to enter time setting mode, then use the number keys.

To upload to this organizer from your PC you must first
download the supporting PC Desktop software.  Then you
can update the event data as frequently as desired.
Download data files straight from the Bedno.com
mobile page and SAVE AS overwriting the applicable
Z-Touch data file.  After successfully uploading the
phone book, you can simply delete ipalm.tel from your
PC to prevent time wasting repeated future uploads.
Note that the events import usually contains dozens of
events, but only the most highly recommended few are
initially marked for upload.  You can use the desktop
program to select any desired set based on your tastes.
The same is true with the phone book, in which only a
few dozen of several hundred are initially selected.
