Life Is But a Dream!
Life Is But a Dream!
This extra clever issue features enhanced cool event links, longer descriptions, a touch of Latin, and too much first person writing. As I survey this week, I keep thinking there must be some mistake. At first glance my records show the Chicago Underground Film Festival, Poetry Slam finals, Northalsted Market Days, a Friday the 13th, V.J. Day, Assumption Day, and National Aviation Day. Then there's the Gold Coast Art Fair, Rock The River, two Elvis memorial events, two charity runs, Farmers Markets, good weather and the Bud Billiken Day Parade. All in one week?
Then I see Run Lola Run and Spike&Mike at midnight shows, a new William Shatner movie and Matrix and Dark City at Brew&View. This cannot all be!
Then there's Jewel, Rusted Root, Steel Pulse, Maxi Priest, Third World, Nas, DJ Punck Roc, Dokken, 98 Degrees, Monica, B*witched, 3rd Storee, Britney Spears and Donna Summer. No way!
There's also Me'Shell Ndegeocello, Blondie, Kool and the Gang, GZA / Genius, Weird Al Yankovic and Bobcat Goldthwait. Whoa!
So I double checked and sure 'nuff, even Lilith Fair is this week! With S.MacLachlan, S.Crow, I.Girls, D.Chicks, D.Cox and more, AND there's a New Power Party! "That's it" I conclude, I'm just gonna relax, enjoy, and believe that Springer is real.
