Airshow Airshow Airshow Airshow Airshow Airshow Airshow
First re-use of a headline, sorry, it's just that it's something of
a religious holiday for me. Witness the peak accomplishments of
aeronautical science; The weekend when Chicago becomes a planetary
beacon (First Contact reference - Hey aliens we're over here!).
Last weekend I managed to see Run Lola Run, Matrix and Dark City
in a row, on blades! The same lineup remains this week, as well
as Universal Soldier 2 and funsters viewing of Mystery Men.
This is the Bristol Renaissance Faire's last weekend. Go!
There's a bunch of good late 20th century TV. Real World is
in Hawaii, The Reader throws a Hawaiin themed Matches Party,
and Excalibur hosts the Miss Hawaiian Tropic preliminaries.
They're blading for money in Downers Grove, running
at the lake, and selling Bonsai in Glencoe. There's an
Andersonville Tour, the Ginza and Weed Street fests, and
No Crime and Women's Equality days. The Cubs play
every day, Virgo begins and the moon goes full.
Major toonage includes REM, Wilco, Supa DJ Dmitry,
Tower of Power, Groove Collective, Ralph Rosario,
Moody Blues, Braid, DJ Dave Clark, Fear Factory,
Static-X, Dope, Gipsy Kings, Moby, Boom Boom Satellites,
The Temptations, The Supremes, Everlast, The Roots, Macy Gray,
good stuff at Empty Bottle and Delilah's 6th anniversary.
See you around!
