Let Drinking Season Begin!
Let Drinking Season Begin!
Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery month has ended and Oktoberfest at the Pier has begun! Let freedom reign and lift a toast to China's birthday. On Friday the MCA combines drinking with art, and the Karma foam party certainly will not be dry. On Thursday one can drink with the fish at Shedd and drink with blading at Rainbow (since the courts ruled for assumed risk). The Festival of Latin Music, Bears game and Exit's motorcycle rally are solid drinking events and beer is the perfect beverage for the Veggie Chili Cook- Off. Don't stay home for the Saturday Night Live 25th opener w/ Jerry Seinfeld and David Bowie, better to cab your drunk butt to the Yellow Submarine midnight show or to see Incognito, Emperor Penguin, Phish, Fuel, Public Enemy, Len, Styles Of Beyond and Sisters of Mercy. Hangover-shmangover, getcherself outabed and crawl to the ALS Mammoth Music Mart, the American Science and Surplus autumn tent sale, the Dupage Giant Computer Show and Sale, West Side tour, Kids and Kites Fest, organic growers farmers market, or any of several walkathons. Also the Chicago International Film Festival has started and there's all new Fox cartoons. Cheers! (P.S. My faves are highlighted)
