Forecast Predicts Heavy Fun All Week
Forecast Predicts Heavy Fun All Week
Yet no sledding weather? First a sprinkle... Bigsby&Kruthers is going out of business, and it's your last chance to see Wheel Lives, the Shaw play, and the Boat/RV/Outdoor show, but A Midsummer Night's Dream (remember summer?) and the Next Dance Festival go on. There's Groundhogs Day, Candlemas and Critical Mass rides (watch for their protest at the auto show next month). Opening day of Treasures from Mount Vernon'll be fun, and Black History Month and Network Sweeps begin. Also it's Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Birthday and Jazz Fair Weekend. Then a shower... Anthrax w/ Fu Manchu, Chevelle and Un-Band are playing. As are the Bulls, Skylab2000 w/ DJ Chris Gin, Robbie Fulks, Frontier, Vandermark Five, Six Feet Under, Immolation, and Hateplow, a couple of rave's and Sam's New Power Party. Then lightning... Leave work early Friday for the best progressive urban dance music lineup to ever tour: Carl Cox, Doc Martin, DJ Sneak, Gene Ferris and Nigel Richards at Metro (good venue!). America bonds on Sunday for the Superbowl! It'll be a blast at Brew&View, though some will prefer TOON's Road Runner/Coyote marathon. Finally, I'll be at BigWig on Wednesday with great drum-n-bass DJ's keeping me warm and cozy.
