Anniversary Issue
Anniversary Issue
Sorry, no super-clever opening paragraph this time. Too busy playing life, version 3.0. Ran out of time trying to tackle topics that were too big, like self determination, choices, massive meteors, illusions and The Matrix and Columbine being this time last year. It's a good week, starting w/ right now's First Friday at the MCA, w/ DJ Colette, a new show, and a Salsa/Mambo/etc performance. Friday is also World Health Day, and Plush hosts drinking for young professionals. Several weekend plays seem cool including a Matrix based musical, Bettie Page amd Shakespeare. Saturday is soooo sexy, w/ the Budhist Flower Festival, the Glamourcon in Rosemont, an opening at Feitigo erotica gallery, dirty dancing at Berlin and the National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament. Being John Malovich has come to B&V, Asian and Latino film fests end soon and I MUST do the architects mini-golf. MUST RECORD TV this week; new Futurama, King-O-Hill, Simpsons and SouthPark; Don Quixote starring John Lithgow and a LIVE PERFORMANCE of Fail Safe starring George Clooney. There's also the MS Walk on Sunday, Golden Gloves Tournament, a paying focus group for women who drink white zinfandel, and David Copperfield Journey of a Lifetime. BLADERS - Come out with the crew on Wedneday at Melvin B's. The regular dance nights are crankin, and Ry- N/Hiroki are doin somethin new Tuesday at Fuse. Drum&bass heads DON'T FRICKIN MISS Future Cut spinning at Big Wig. Other music this week includes Smokey Robinson, Acumen Nation, D-Settlement, Common, Tony Levin, and Citizen King. Which one would you have taken? RED BLUE
