2000.04.21 (week 147)
Honor The Goddess
Honor The Goddess
And she will reward with rebearth. Maximize the weekend
dudes and dudettes, starting with Good Friday when Wynton
Marsalis and the Jazz Orchestra perform, as well as Dio and
Galactic. All's Well That Ends Well opens at the globe, and
the fertility dance goes on at Dragon Room. Saturday is the
30th Earth Day (hooray for the 70s), and a grand
ecologically responsible festival will blossom in Lincoln
Park. Since it's TV Turnoff Week I'll be out for sure, at
the Easter Parade in Andersonville! Night brings the dance
again, with Violent Femmes, Girls Against Boys, Mambo
Express, and the excellent Digital Planet and TigerStyle
2000 dance events. Whew, take a break for Easter Sunday,
then it's back to an OUTSTANDING week of fun, including
Secretaries Day and the start of the Chicago Improv Festival
on Tuesday, a group skate, new South Park episode and
Snuggles at Seminar on Wednesday, and Offspring to Work Day,
network sweeps and good Columbia dance on Thursday. In
closing a hint for hapiness: learn to love rain.
