Developed in Cobol and C under Unix to maintain and enhance a high-end accounting system.
Programmed major additions such as fax, barcoding, scale, point-of-sale and OCR in for regional distributor of SouthWare accounting system. Also developed applications in Informix (SQL) and C-ISAM under Unix. Worked extensively with AT&T and Fortune minicomputers, and Sun, X-Windows and ANSI terminals. Worked in business I.T. areas such as EDI, wide-area networking, publishing, power and backups. Worked extensively with retail hardware such as cash registers, cash drawers, receipt printers, barcode scanners and printers, scales and more. Installed business systems for Screenflex, Nascar, Polamer Parcel, and Touch and Go Records.
