Vegan Jello Shots and downsized playable board.
Player must drink each piece they jump, progressively disadvantaging the leader. Choose the side opposite your favorite flavor.
Standard checker rules apply: Start with each player filling the black squares on two rows nearest them. Darker color moves first. Move forward diagonally one square each move. Jump diagonally. Must jump if you can. Reaching the opposing side makes piece a queen able to move backwards.
Recipe is for a SINGLE COLOR
Makes 16-17 shots. 6 are required per player per game. Make two batches, one for each color. Recommend contrasting colors such as red and green or blue.
NEEDS:
1 + 3/4 cups (12oz) 100% fruit juice (apple or cranberry recommended)
Vegan food color.
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 tsp Agar Agar powder
1/4 cup (4oz) Everclear.
PREP:
Measure Everclear into a pourable container of at least two cups capacity and put in fridge to chill.
Set out 17 shot glasses in a tray to catch overflow and spills.
Pour measured juice and sugar into small sauce pan.
Color the juice as desired (for example a few drops of green if using apple juice for stronger checker piece colors)
Mix well with whisk until fully dissolved.
COOKING:
Sprinkle in agar while whisking until fully dissolved.
Turn on heat under sauce pan to medium.
Continue stirring gently while liquid heats to boiling.
When liquid boils turn heat down to maintain gentle simmer.
Stir constantly while gently boiling for exactly two minutes.
Turn off heat.
Put pan on a trivet in fridge to cool a few minutes.
Pour pan contents into Everclear container and stir extremely well.
Decant hot mix evenly into prepared shot glasses.
Refrigerate at least one hour. Should become very firm.
Top with vegan whipped cream as desired. Snap on lids.
Print checkerboards. Serve.

Everclear dosage math: Confirming equivalent to just over a shot of vodka in each jello shot:
= ~0.5oz at 40% = 0.2oz pure alcohol. *1.05 for 95% alc = 0.21oz Everclear each shot. *16 servings = 3.36oz Everclear.
4oz Everclear (rounding up to half cup for simplicity) * 0.95 = 3.8oz alc. / 16 servings = .24oz alc each, = equiv to .6 shots vodka each.
